Eco Shed member, Paul, commissioned to keep hedgehogs warm this winter

Paul Braby is a member of Eco Shed in Sittingbourne and has been working as part of the group for several years now.  Along with other members of the Eco Shed, Paul works hard to make high quality wooden products from reclaimed wood and other recycled materials.  Eco Shed is not just a space for people with learning difficulties to learn new skills, it creates carefully crafted items for the local community to buy to improve their environment for local wildlife.

Eco Shed has been focusing on expanding the business to take on more commissioned pieces lately - you might remember the recent story of Stewart installing a set of musical instruments at the Orchards Centre.

Paul said  "I just showed someone down the road the bird hotel I had made and they asked me to make them a hedgehog house".  Paul communicated with the customer throughout the commission process and took the lead on agreeing pricing and design.  Through his support within the Eco Shed, Paul constructed the hedgehog house and then delivered it to the customer.

If you would like a personally commissioned wildlife home or artwork from Eco Shed, call 01795 438857 or email jamie.flaherty@skillnetgroup.co.uk.

A wide selection of bird houses, feeders, candle holders and insect homes are always in stock.  Pop in between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.  At the back of The Pulse, 29 Park Road, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 1DR
