Continuing their commitment to supporting community initiatives and promoting eco friendly products, Macknade is hosting an Eco Shed pop-up shop on Saturday 24th March. Macknade recently supported the grassroots Say No to Plastic in Faversham campaign and is keen to take steps to reduce its impact on the environment. The Eco Shed team is looking forward to being part of that and returning the Macknade site where the project used to supplie wildlife houses to Tasteful Plants garden centre (the garden centre has now closed since the owners relocated to Wales)
For one day only, the Eco Shed team will be on-site at Macknade selling their products and on-hand to talk with you about your ideas for bespoke commissions. All items are made from sustainably sourced or reclaimed timber. Members of the eco shed are supported to learn skills in woodwork, design, sales and business development.
The Eco Shed pop up shop is part of Skillnet's wider work with Macknade, who we currently work with on our Supported Internships programme where they provide work experience opportunities on the shop floor and in our café.
