Ecoshed - Our Achievements

Co- working with Cauldwell Children

Over 3 days in November Eco Shed, Pulse cafe and Schools project have been working with the Cauldwell Children organization.

.

Jess contacted Skillnet Group to see whether it would be possible for us to co - work with children from a disadvantaged background to produce, plan and support a practical project so people would gain team working, practical and  planning skills which would help build people’s confidence.

Our first project was a 2 day event to build a planter /banner holder which would go into the garden at the rear of the Pulse cafe. People were supported   by members of Eco Shed/ Schools project who already attend these projects on the days to plan, build and buy the compost and plants to finish the project.

The second project was a 1 day Eco Citizens workshop in which 17 people were supported to assemble, paint bird boxes and make tiles for these houses.

People learned about recycling, up-cycling, sustainability and Skillnet Group ethos.

The 4 bird houses would then be donated by Cauldwell Children to Seashells   in Sheerness to go in their garden.
